:: Bruker Agreement Expands Intellection’s Range Intellection is expanding its range of products and services, with the signing of a new strategic agreement with Bruker AXS GmbH, world leading manufacturer of single-crystal diffraction, powder diffraction and X-ray spectrometry equipment. Building on a strong existing OEM arrangement between the companies, Intellection is now directly supplying Bruker XRF (X-ray fluorescence) and XRD (X-ray diffraction) systems to customers. This agreement extends the range of analytic processes we offer our customers in the mining and upstream oil and gas sectors, allowing Intellection to provide the most comprehensive range of advanced automated mineralogy solutions available from any supplier on a global basis. Bruker’s XRD and XRF technologies complement QEMSCAN® analysis, so making them available from the same supplier makes a lot of sense. This agreement will allow both Intellection and Bruker to develop more competitive global sales strategies. BHP Billiton Technology Centre in Newcastle, Australia has been quick to see the advantages, placing the first order under the agreement for an XRD system to complement their existing QEMSCAN® systems. The agreement will also see Intellection and Bruker AXS undertake joint product development projects to add value to both companies’ technologies. Such projects will include the integration of data streams from XRD/XRF and QEMSCAN® to provide new insights in mineralogical analysis, and co-operatively developing innovative new technologies and products in the field of X-ray detector capabilities and automated mineral analysis. Our customers have long benefited from the excellent working relationship between Bruker and ourselves. This enhanced relationship will not only see new products in the future, but importantly, improved access to a broad range of new, leading X-ray analytic products and services right now.
