:: Oxford Cryosystems Announce the Launch of the N-HeliX

Oxford Cryosystems, the experts in cryocrystallography, are delighted to announce the launch of the N-HeliX, an open flow helium/nitrogen cryostat which does not use liquid cryogens!

The N-HeliX is the new version of our HeliX; the world's first non-liquid open flow helium cryostat for single crystal x-ray diffraction. This unique system allowed users to work at temperatures as low as 28 Kelvin without the need for dangerous and expensive liquid helium.

Now the HeliX has evolved a step further to become the N-HeliX; with the ability to use both helium and nitrogen gas!

Unlike other systems, the N-HeliX is totally programmable, with the ability to reach and maintain any specific temperature from 28 to 300 Kelvin, with a stability of greater than 0.3Kelvin. The sample temperature is not affected by switching the supply of helium or nitrogen gas, thus enabling long term experiments to be performed.
