:: New ICP MS for Perth Minerals On the back of strong demand generated within WA and internationally Amdel has purchased an additional ICP MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma, Mass Spectrometer) for its Perth laboratory. This is the third ICP MS installed in Perth within the last 12 months and represents a strong commitment by Amdel and its parent company The Gribbles Group to the mineral industry. Along with the ICP MS’s Perth now boasts 3 ICP OES (Optical Emission Spectrometers), sample preparation facilities, large fires assay operations and general chemistry services. Brad Whisson, Amdel’s WA Geoanalytical Manager believes his team is positioned to ensure timely, quality analytical services to the now booming nickel and gold industries. “The combination of a local service to the Kalgoorlie gold industry and the ability to use this facility as a conduit for non gold analytical work to Perth ensures we concentrate our efforts and maximise returns for our clients. If you then add our metallurgical services in to this equation we have a very strong presence in Kalgoorlie with excellent state of the art services in Perth.“
