:: SGS Opens New Sample Preparation Lab in Elko, Nevada The SGS Group’s Minerals Services are pleased to announce the opening of the Elko sample preparation lab in Elko, NV. This new facility is dedicated to expanding the capacity and capabilities of services available to the mining and exploration industries in the south-western United States. This expansion will provide clients with faster turn around time and lower sample transportation costs. The Elko lab is operating under the capable direction of Josephine Carioti, who has wide ranging experience in the mineral industry at mine labs in several locations in Peru, Alaska and the continental US. Ms. Carioti also has extensive international project management experience in the Middle East. SGS’ Minerals Services have extensive analytical and testing facilities, staffed with over 6000 experienced, professionals. Their laboratories in North America have many inorganic and organic parameters accredited by the Standards Council of Canada to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard (complete scope of accreditation is available upon request). Metallurgical, mineralogical and diamond sampling and picking services are also offered.
