MEI Online: MEI Conferences: Biohydrometallurgy '12: Call for Papers

Papers are invited for presentation at Biohydromet '12. All papers must be written and presented in English, the official language of the conference.

Abstract Submission

Short abstracts, of no more than 150 words, should be emailed to Dr. Barry Wills in Rich Text Format (.rtf). Please ensure that your abstracts do not contain Figures, References, Tables or Equations.

Draft Papers

If accepted, draft papers will be required. These will form the unrefereed Proceedings, which will be available to delegates on a USB stick at the conference. Copyright on these papers belongs to the individual authors, and not to MEI.

Final Papers

Final papers should be submitted no later than one month after the end of the conference. Authors have two options:

  • Submission to Minerals Engineering, the world's number 1 journal in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, with the highest impact factor, and rated a maximum A* by the Australian Research Council. These will be refereed, and, if accepted, published in a special Bio- & Hydrometallurgy issue of the journal. Corresponding authors will receive one complimentary copy of this special issue. All other delegates may purchase the special issue from Elsevier Science Ltd at a discounted rate.

  • Submission to the Journal of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM). The Journal is a recognized Department of Higher Education and Training accredited journal, with ABC accreditation by the Audit Bureau of Circulation of South Africa. The content of the Journal comprises Transactional and Journal papers. Transactional papers are of a very technical nature and are subject to stringent reviewing procedures while journal papers are of a more general and practical nature and go through a less severe reviewing process. Papers can be sent to the SAIMM publications coordinator, Caron Lance at caron@saimm.co.za.

 

Ordering Papers

Papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of Minerals Engineering journal. You will be able to view and download papers from this special issue from ScienceDirect after it has been published.
