MEI Online: MEI Conferences: Biohydrometallurgy '12: Conference Dinner |
|

|
The conference BBQ will be held on Tuesday 19 June at the Eden Project, Britain's top garden and eco-tourist attraction, including the largest conservatories (biomes) in the world. The two giant biomes each sustain two diverse ecosystems: the tropical rainforests of Malaysia, West Africa and South America, and the more temperate Mediterranean ecosytem.
The Eden Project is about one hour's coach drive from Falmouth, and delegates will have time to explore the Rainforest Biome and the Gardens (Outdoor Biome) before meeting up in the Mediterranean Biome, which will be open for our exclusive use, for a barbeque with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks.
About the Eden Project The Eden Project was constructed in a 160-year-old exhausted china clay (kaolin) quarry at Bodelva, near St. Austell, in Cornwall. It was built around the theme of people's dependence on plants and the natural world. This theme has only become more relevant over the years as how to respond to the full range of environmental challenges has become the most urgent shared issue across the world.
Price Admission to the biomes and the barbecue is free to conference delegates. Please order tickets for spouses/partners using the registration form, the cost is £60 per ticket.
