International Workshop on Bioprocessing of Minerals
Objectives The main objectives of this workshop are to: (1) highlight the most recent advances in bioprocessing of minerals; (2) identify research problems, challenges, future directions and strategies in bioleaching, and genetics and molecular biology; and (3) foster effective international cooperation among scientists from different fields. Sponsor This workshop is sponsored and hosted by Central South University (CSU). The participants (up to 60) will be invited from different countries, and only will those invited attend this workshop. Topics The topics of this workshop will deal with the following topics:
Oral Presentation Papers in this section will be presented in 1 day. Each presentation takes 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes question time. Workshop Venue Changsha Press Hotel Workshop tour The workshop is planning to have 2 full days of meeting at Changsha, Hunan Province (zt.rednet.cn/c/zt/8131/) from Sept. 19-20, followed by 2-day field tour from Sept. 21-22 at Zhangjiajie (West of Hunan) National Forest Park (www.zjjtrip.net/), which is one of the most attractive sceneries in China and is listed as World Natural Heritage (World Geo-park). General information All participants should arrive at Changsha by Sept. 18, and could leave for going home via Beijing and Shanghai or attending the China IMPC XXIV from Zhangjiajie International Airport on Sept. 23. If you would like to visit other places in China before or after the workshop, we will also make appropriate arrangement. There are also flights direct to Hongkong and Seoul from the Huanghua international airport, Changsha.
