:: New Nordberg Crushers to be Launched The Nordberg GP550 is a new generation cone crusher from Metso Minerals that matches the production needs of large quarries and medium-sized mines. It replaces the well-known GP500 crusher. The GP550 is wide range of new cavities and strokes makes this crusher highly versatile and it is especially suitable for producing ballast. In many cases it can also be operated as a secondary crusher thanks to its large feed openings. The GP550 will be available in early 2005. The new Nordberg C3054 jaw crusher has 1.3 cm thicker cheek plates than its predecessor, the C3055. The jaw die retention system has been improved, with protection plates behind the jaw as standard. It also allows mounting of a hydraulic jack cylinder on the front frame of the crusher to assist with removal of the stationary jaw. The C3054 has its roots in North America, where high capacity requirements combined with a moderate feed top size and the need for mobility make it a popular choice. The C3054 will be available in early 2005.
