:: Sandvik Launches a new Generation of the CrawlmasterTM Crushing Unit Sandvik Rock Processing is launching a new generation of the well-known CrawlmasterTM 1208 mobile crushing unit. The previous version of CrawlmasterTM 1208 proved its worth for years, working in hard rock applications in several countries. The new unit is called CrawlmasterTM 1208i, the "i" standing for "intelligence". CrawlmasterTM 1208i is available in three different versions. The control system provides large quantities of useful information. It also facilitates sequenced start-ups, close-downs and fault tracing. The operator has an overview of the operation of the unit, the intelligence giving full control of the process. A computer monitor with user-friendly icons and symbols is incorporated into the control system. There is automatic control of the material flow, this can be overridden manually. In multi-stage crushing process setups, the system communicates with succeeding units. The three members of the CrawlmasterTM 1208i family are all versatile, highly mobile crushing and screening units. Each has a JawmasterTM crusher with a feed opening of 1.2 x 0.8 m (32" x 48"). All have crawlers, diesel engine and main product belt conveyor. Minimum exhaust, noise and dust emission are incorporated into the design. There is easy access to vital service points. Each member of the CrawlmasterTM 1208i family is designed to handle different types of natural fines. Investment in these highly productive units can give a fast return.
