:: JKJetLift Wins MIOTA

The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy awarded the 2005 Mining Industry Operating Techniques Award to the Twin chamber Pulp Lifter developed by JKMRC researchers Sanjeeva Latchireddi and Steve Morrell. JKJetLift^® with twin chambers minimises "flow-back" in SAG mills reducing the effect of "slurry pooling" and thus maximising the discharge of slurry from the mill to increase mill throughput.

This is the third occasion that a JKMRC project has won this prestigious award. JKSimMet^® took the honours in 1993 and Mine-to-Mill^® in 2001.
