:: 2006 Handbook of Crushing now available, free, from Pennsylvania Crusher

The 2006 edition of Pennsylvania Crusher’s Handbook of Crushing is now available on CD-ROM. It is useful for power generation plants, mines, glass manufacturing, quarries, recycling plants and wherever materials are reduced in size. This fully illustrated, 42-page manual provides an overview of mechanical reduction methods, a checklist of crusher selection criteria, and an application analysis guide to the job specifications needed for crusher selection and sizing.

The Handbook features a glossary of terms and discusses crushing technology. It outlines how to measure crushing resistance and measure relative abrasiveness. A chart of abrasiveness indices lists over fifty minerals along with their numerical value and their site of origin. Yet another chart provides the physical characteristics of numerous materials and minerals, coded according to abrasiveness, flowability and special characteristics. The Handbook also gives definitions of material characteristics, crusher power requirements, information on closed circuit crushing and crusher hammer technology.

Complete information on all Pennsylvania Crusher products is also provided: Bradford breakers, cage mills, granulators, hammermills, impactors, jaw crushers, grinding mills, roll crushers, Mountaineer® Sizers and Posimetric® Feeders.

Pennsylvania Crusher produces more crusher models, in more sizes than others. About two-thirds of the steam coal used in the US power generation industry is being crushed using Pennsylvania Crusher equipment, and the firm’s equipment is used worldwide.
