Ludowici Limited advises that it has purchased the intellectual property and plant and equipment of Hicom International Pty Ltd (Administrator Appointed). The purchase represents an extension of Ludowici’s mineral processing equipment capabilities into high intensity milling. Whilst the present application of the Hicom process is in fine grinding industrial minerals the technology is expected to have application in processing minerals and other bulk products such as cement after further development. The technology acquired will also assist Ludowici’s investigation and manufacture of ultra fine particles for deployment in the company’s minerals processing wear parts business. The purchase price is not considered material and the purchase is not expected to have an impact on earnings in the short term.
