Orissa Cement has bought a 250 t/h cement mill – the third vertical roller mill for cement and slag grinding – from Loesche.

The mill is capable of grinding OPC, PBFC, PPC cement within the range of 3300 to 4500 Blaine at capacities 250 t/h to 134 t/h.

The mill is equipped with 6 rollers (3+3 technology) and has a drive capacity of 5400 kW. A special advantage for Orissa Cement is that sizes and design of mill components are identical to the components of the two LM 46.2+2 that have been successfully in operation for years. The mill will be supplied with local fabrication by Loesche India Pvt. Ltd.

Due to the requirement on the Indian market the new LM 56.3+3 is scheduled to start production in September 2004.
