A new range of Supergrate has successfully passed gauging and quality assurance procedures at Bradken's Adelaide foundry. These will be installed during a forthcoming shutdown at PT Freeport Indonesia in the C-4 concentrator 38' x 20' SAG mill #2. The unique new design spans both middle and outer grate rows (i.e. double-height) and across two pulp lifter channels (i.e. double-width). Overall dimensions are approximately 2.3m x 2.1m with a finished weight of 3.6 tonnes. Each grate spans 221/2 degrees and approximately 14% open area is provided.
