Metso Minerals has launched its fourth track-mounted mobile crushing plant equipped with a detachable screen. With the capacity of 200-400 tph, Nordberg LT110S is suitable for any demanding contact crushing, quarrying and in-pit applications. Metso Minerals has expanded its Nordberg LT Series mobile crushing plant range with the launch of a new 60 – 70 t class, high-capacity 'S' model for contract crushing and quarrying applications. Like the three other 'S' Series models, the track-mounted LT110S features a single-deck screen and an extended discharge conveyor. This combination allows the unit to produce two aggregate grades in a single stage crushing operation, or, to operate as a normal primary crusher with the screen removed. The longer conveyor also offers a larger stockpile capacity.

A heavy-duty Nordberg C110 jaw crusher provides a typical crushing capacity of 200 tph to 400 tph. The LT110S combines high-efficiency with flexibility and ease of use. A robust high capacity 1300 x 4400 mm (52 inch x 14 ft) grizzly feeder maximises the overall production through efficient removal of fines from the feed material.

The new crushing plant also features a 5 m3 (7 yd3) capacity feed hopper with hydraulic folding walls and accepts a feed size of up to 670 mm (26 in).

The proven C Series jaw is able to crush the toughest rock and no compressive strength limitations are imposed. The units TK screen ensures production of two sellable products on a single plant; up to 200 mm (8 in) as product 1 and 90 mm (31/2 in) as product 2.

Changing the direction of screen rotation, gives the option of higher capacity operation or further improved screening efficiency for more difficult applications, such as wet material or where smaller fractions are required. Servicing the screen or replacing the mesh is done from ground level without the need for a crane.

Compactly built, the LT110S can be transported on a low-bed trailer and set up and operating within minutes of arriving on site. The wide range of options available with the new crushing plant means an extensive variety of operating applications is possible including hard rock, sand and gravel and recycling.

Since launching the S Series three years ago in a line-up which includes the LT95S, the LT105S and the LT1213S, Metso Minerals has sold more than 100 units around the world.

According to product manager Jouni Hulttinen, "Metso Minerals is, as far as we know, the only manufacturer of this type of crushing plant equipped with jaw crushers."
