:: Kobe and Kawasaki Merge Crusher Biz Kobe Steel and Kawasaki Heavy Industries are transferring the manufacture of their separate crushing equipment ranges to their partnership business, Earth Technica. The 50/50 joint venture was established in April 2003 and currently designs and markets crushing and grinding equipment. At the beginning of April 2005, Earth Technica will manufacture both the Kobe and Kawasaki crusher designs. The partners say that Earth Technica, based in Japan, will become an independent unit with marketing, design and manufacturing functions. This move will result in stronger sales/service networks, an improved product line-up and better new product development.
