Global Alumina Products Corporation has announced that the corporation has contracted Honeywell to complete a multi-year automation project for GAPCO's proposed 2.8 million tonne per annum greenfield alumina refinery in the Boké region of Guinea, Africa.

Under the terms of the agreement, Honeywell will handle all of GAPCO's automation needs. Honeywell's technology solutions will maximise the refinery's uptime, enhance operator effectiveness and optimise plant performance.
