:: Alumina Refinery for Guinea

Alcan, Alcoa and the government of the Republic of Guinea have signed a protocol for joint development of a 1.5 Mt/y alumina refinery. A detailed feasibility study for the project is expected to be completed by mid-2005, with the first production by 2008.
