:: A Partnership Grows Tata Iron and Steel Corporation (TISCO) has contracted Outokumpu Technology for the modernization of its chromite operations in Sukinda, India. The modernization project will allow TISCO to expand its chomite production and improve on the plant’s overall separation efficiency. Outokumpu will supply TISCO both process technology and equipment as well as assist in the equipment’s installation and commissioning. The heart of the project involves the integration of Outokumpu’s new Model H9000W washwater spirals with Floatex Density Separators. This innovative combination of two complementing wet-gravity processes was developed by Outokumpu and is continuing to find use in a wide variety of applications.
