:: FLSmidth Wins Large Copper Order in South America
FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 115m to supply engineering, design and equipment for a copper mine in South America.
The order is part of a major expansion of the mine and the scope of supply includes one primary crusher, multiple apron feeders, vibrating screens, SAG mills, ball mills, pebble crushers, pressure filters, concentrate and tailings thickeners as well as 300m3 flotation cells and additional cells for the molybdenum plant.
"FLSmidth has a strong market presence in South America. In addition to our extensive knowledge of the region and the minerals industries, our One Source supply chain ensures fast and well-coordinated engineering response times, saving the end-user engineering hours and giving the opportunity to reduce the time to start up," Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments.
The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until mid 2016.
