:: Jameson Cells Selected for Another South American Copper Mine
Glencore Technology is pleased to announce the second Jameson Cell project to be installed in South America in the last 6 months. This installation will see two Jameson Cells producing copper concentrates for First Quantum Minerals’ Cobre Panama mine in Panama.
Glencore Technology General Manager Paul Telford said there has been a renewed interest for energy efficient flotation and grinding technology which can be fitted into existing plants, as well as new installations, resulting in high levels of enquiries for Jameson Cells as well as IsaMills™.
Jameson Cells are currently being installed at McArthur River for zinc cleaning duties, as well as being constructed for the Collahuisi mine in Chile. An IsaMill™ is also being installed in an African copper operation as well.
