:: Barbrook Plant Expansion Commissioned

Caledonia Mining has commissioned the metallurgical plant expansion at its Barbrook gold mine in South Africa. The expansion project, which includes crushing, primary milling, flotation, carbon removal, ultra-fine grinding, oxidation and resin-in-leach circuits, effectively more than doubles the capacity of the plant to 18 kt/month. Barbrook aims to produce 22 000 ounces of gold in the 2006 financial year.
