:: Lafarge to Invest $30 Million in Cement Plant in Vietnam  

French building materials producer Lafarge SA will build a $30 million cement grinding plant in southern Vietnam, the company said in a statement Monday.

The investment is being made by the DonaFrance joint venture, in which Lafarge owns a 70% stake alongside a Vietnamese building materials company, the statement said.

Construction of the project, located on the Long Tau river, 20km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, is due to start this month. The plant is set to go online in late 2005.
