:: 50th Large Ore Sorter for UltraSort

UltraSort, a manufacturer of large tonnage, high accuracy ore sorters, has now shipped its 50th large Ore Sorter. The single particle sorter (SPS4) together with two new generation SW3 compact sorters were recently sent to Rio Tinto’s Muroa Diamond Mine in Zimbabwe. The units are scheduled to be commissioned in June.

The three sorters will operate under the control of a centralised display system, which will allow the operations staff to adjust and monitor the machines by remote control. This function will also allow diagnostics to be run on the equipment to ensure that it always operates to the optimum level.

SPS Sorters

The two SW3 compact sorters are the first of their type to be sold. The SW3 is a relatively low cost machine, which has a number of advantages over competing models. It sorts wet material, is able to handle high throughput and a large size range. In addition this machine gives a very low yield. The quality of workmanship of this machine is excellent being of stainless steel construction, and made to withstand the harsh conditions of its working environment.

UltraSort staff will supervise the initial commissioning of the sorters at the Muroa Diamond Mine in Zimbabwe and will also carry out on site training of the local personnel.
