:: EGL Wins Order for $4.5M The Environmental Group Limited (EGL) has won an order from BlueScope Steel to supply a plant to produce cement grade gypsum from sulphur rich gas. The plant, worth $4.5 million will be installed at Port Kembla, N.S.W. by October 2005. The plant uses a proprietary Flue Gas Delsuphurisation technology and is similar to the one supplied by EGL over a year ago to another customer. Contract value for that project was $7 million. Major projects are a significant part of revenue for EGL. A particularly pleasing aspect of this project is that BlueScope Steel will contract EGL to maintain and operate the plant once it is commissioned, for 2 years with the opportunity for further renewal after that. It increases EGL’s recurrent income by a further $300,000 over that period.
