:: Mincom Acquires Karjeni Pty Ltd to Enhance its Mining Sector Offering
In a move that further cements its position as a leading global software and services provider to asset intensive industries, Mincom Limited has announced that it has fully acquired Karjeni Pty Ltd, a mining industry software development company based in Perth, Western Australia.
The acquisition of Karjeni increases Mincom's technical mining platform by providing complementary mining software solutions for end-to-end production accounting that are key to mineral and metal processing operations.
Mr Richard Mathews, Mincom Chief Executive Officer said, "This acquisition emphasises our commitment to the mining sector and will provide our customers with additional technical software applications that complement our growing suite of intelligent mining solutions. Karjeni brings significant technical mining expertise. They have built an impressive client list globally including several of the world's largest gold mining companies. The company's solutions have been developed exclusively for the mining industry which is important when meeting the often varying and complex requirements of the mining sector."
This latest move builds on Mincom's recent acquisition of the metallurgical accounting solution from JKTech, the technology transfer company of the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC) at the University of Queensland, announced earlier this month (www.min-eng.com/computer/recent/12.html).
Mr Dave Stevenson, Mincom Vice President Mining said, "End-to-end production accounting functionality is not only a strategic part of mining operations but has emerged as a key requirement in the industry. The addition of Karjeni's software solutions adds a number of modules to our metallurgical accounting solution recently acquired from JKTech."
