:: Limn:The Flowsheet Processor Making Inroads into South America The Limn flowsheet processing software that has become a standard tool in the Australian and South African coal and iron ore industries is making inroads into South America in the base metal and precious metal industries. Sixteen licenses have been sold to major copper, tin, precious metal miners and engineering companies in the last few months, taking the number of worldwide licensed Limn users to over five hundred. Transmin Metallurgical Consultants are the Limn representatives in South America and also use Limn on their own consulting projects. Transmin has been using Limn for prefeasibility studies, plant optimization, due diligence and metallurgical mapping projects. Although it is renowned for solving coal and mineral processing plant balances, Limn has been used recently by Transmin for simulation of tin concentration, zinc fuming, cyanide accounting, heap leaching, copper flotation and high temperature pressure oxidation processes for major South American producers.
