Gekko Systems

GEKKO SYSTEMS
321 Learmonth Road, Ballarat, Victoria 3350, Australia

Gekko Systems specialises in the design development and distribution of innovative mineral processing equipment and systems with a particular focus on gravity separation. Long term relationships based on trust and mutual benefit, and an emphasis on innovation, are the cornerstones of the company's philosophy. The business owners and team of employees, contractors, consultants and suppliers are passionate about producing timely, high quality products and services for our customers.

The company seeks low cost, quality solutions to metallurgical problems. Improving environmental outcomes from mineral processing is a focus. Gravity separation by it's very nature provides opportunities to both lower cost and improve the environmental profile of mineral processing. Maximising recovery through gravity separation by creating a high grade stream of concentrates for preferential treatment is a significant conceptual platform to help achieve these objectives. Gravity separation also has an important function in the efficient removal of waste.

Xstrata technology

XSTRATA TECHNOLOGY
Level 2, 87 Wickham Tce, Brisbane, Queensland 4000, Australia

Xstrata Technology, formally MIM Process Technologies, is an operating division of Xstrata Plc, a global mining company with operations in Europe, South Africa and Australia. Xstrata Technology has an enviable record of developing revolutionary technologies for the mineral processing industry. These technologies are used in Xstrata's own operations and licensed to companies around the world.

We test our technologies in the toughest places.
Our own mines.

The technologies include IsaMill - a revolutionary approach to grinding in the mineral processing industry. It allows minerals to be finely ground economically and reliably in large scale, mine site applications. Employing an intrinsically different grinding mechanism to conventional impact grinding, the IsaMill technology uses attrition grinding to selectively reduce particle sizes in an inert, high energy intensity environment. The result is a step change in process efficiency. The IsaMill significantly reduces energy requirement, media and capital costs while downstream performance is improved when compared to conventional grinding methods as a result of the narrow product size distribution and the inert grinding environment.

Jameson Cell

Jameson Cell - Jameson Cell flotation is a unique approach to the separation of minerals by flotation. It employs simple principles to generate intense flotation recovery using robust equipment and no moving parts. The Jameson Cell can process all minerals recovered by flotation with over 220 Jameson Cells now installed around the world. The technology is dominant for recovery of fine coal, with SX-EW and copper concentrate applications comprising other major installations.
