:: MagAlloy Concludes Technology Access Agreement

Magnesium Alloy Corporation ("MagAlloy") is pleased to announce the signing of a Technology Access Agreement with VAMI (Russian National Aluminum and Magnesium Institute), STI (State Titanium Research and Design Institute), and Al Al (Aluminum Alloys & Metallurgical Process LLC). The Agreement gives MagAlloy regionally exclusive rights for the application of a number of patented, commercially proven magnesium extraction technologies as well as the respective transfer of know-how. The technologies that are principally related to dehydration and electrolysis processes will be applied in the implementation of MagAlloy’s Kouilou Magnesium Project.

These technologies have been in continuous commercial operation for more than fifty years and currently represent the world’s most extensively used electrolytic magnesium extraction process. In addition, these processes have undergone continuous development resulting in significant improvements in both cost and operating efficiencies. The latest improvements will be included in the implementation of the Kouilou magnesium smelter.
