:: Kristineberg Spearheads Research into Safe Disposal of Mine Waste

The primary goal at Kristineberg in Sweden has been to devise methods for safely disposing mine waste using research programmes based on the remediation of recent tailings, with a focus on soil and water cover.

The methods are described in the October 2007 issue of Mining Environmental Management (pps. 20-22).
