(CEMI) to Enhance Dedication to Environmental Sustainability SGS is pleased to announce the strategic acquisition of Canadian Environmental and Metallurgical Inc. (CEMI), a Canadian company with its head office in Vancouver, British Columbia. In business for over 10 years, CEMI has an exceptional understanding of the environmental issues that face the global mining industry. They provide innovative and practical water treatment solutions, acid rock drainage testing, environmental research and water treatment flowsheet development, engineering and commissioning to the international minerals industry. CEMI has revenues of CAD 4.9 mio and 16 employees. CEMI’s technical expertise will be integrated with that of SGS Minerals Services, thus strengthening SGS’s position as the key provider of environmentally sustainable services worldwide. This will provide CEMI’s clients with more value, a wider service base and integrated global support across SGS’s global network.
