:: Carbon Dioxide Sequestration

With the financial implications of climate and greenhouse gas policies becoming increasingly relevant to mining companies, researchers at the University of British Columbia are re-evaluating the potential of mine waste rock for carbon capture and storage. Nickel mines with their associated waste materials have proven to provide the best material for carbon mineralisation.
