:: Sepro Releases E-Waste/WEEE Metal Recovery Flowsheet

 

Sepro has released a simplified flowsheet and process description for its E-Waste / WEEE gold and heavy metal recovery process.

Combined with thermal pre-treatment, the Sepro E-Waste / WEEE recovery process is ideal for recovering gold, copper and other heavy metals from printed circuit boards and other E-Waste / WEEE material. Specifically, the process starts with chipped E-Waste / WEEE and utilizes grinding, size separation, low-G gravity separation and high-G gravity separation to generate two concentrates and a clean reject stream. The two concentrates include a coarse copper concentrate composed mostly of copper foil as well as a fine heavy metal concentrate containing gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper and other heavy metals. The resulting reject stream is clean and non-hazardous for conventional landfill disposal or subsequent reuse.
