:: Virotec Finalises Supply Agreement

Australian company Virotec International has finalised an agreement with Italy's Eurallumina SpA for the supply of red-mud residue. Virotec will use the mud, which is produced as a by-product of alumina production at Eurallumina, to produce its BauxsolTM acid mine-water and heavy-metal sequestration treatment material.

Virotec's chairman, Brian Sheeran, said that the agreement is "an important step in establishing the necessary infrastructure required for Virotec to supply its BauxsolTM products to the European market".
