US Gold Corporation has signed a technology option agreement with Newmont Technologies that will allow it to use Newmont's proprietary N2TEC^® flotation technology at its 100%-owned Tonkin Springs gold mine in Nevada. Testwork has proved the N2TEC^® technology to be very successful in concentrating the mine's sulphide gold ores. US Gold is planning to re-establish gold production at Tonkin Springs by initially exploiting the oxide ore for a gold production of about 30 000 oz/y, followed by an additional 50 000 oz/y from sulphide ore. Tonkin Springs hosts a gold resource of 1.4 million ounces.
