:: Bateman Engineering Wraps up R117,6m Acquisition Engineering project house Bateman Engineering has completed the acquisition of Metplant Engineering Services for A$19,55-million, or about R117,6-million, boosting the company's nickel and gold process engineering capability. Metplant is a Western Australia-based engineering processing design and project management business, which serves the mining industry in Australia and South East Asia. Bateman said on Wednesday that the acquisition was expected to be immediately earnings enhancing and that existing Metplant management would continue to serve in senior roles in Bateman’s Australian operations. “Metplant has a strong client list and skills base in Australia and Asia, which will provide us with significant new opportunities in these regions,” Bateman Engineering CEO Sivi Gounden said. The company announced the deal on June 14.
