Groupe Laperriere & Verreault Inc. (GLV) has completed its acquisition of the Eimco processing equipment division from Baker Hughes Inc. for C$80 million. Eimco is one of the world's leading suppliers of liquid-solid separation processes.

GLV says that although the acquisition adds only a minimum of manufacturing assets, it provides GLV with the proprietary rights to a range of products and technologies recognised around the world. Furthermore, Eimco will complement GLV's own processing group (Dorr-Olivier) and effectively triple its sales, and thus help GLV as a whole reach to its sales target of C$1 billion within four years.
