:: End of an Era for Camborne School of Mines  

One of the oldest and most respected mining schools, the CSM in Cornwall, England, has announced this week that it is closing down its minerals engineering degree course, which has been operating for 26 years. It will, however, continue to run the minerals engineering MSc programme.

The closure will coincide with the relocation of CSM, now part of the University of Exeter, from the Camborne-Redruth mining area, to a new Combined Universities of Cornwall site just outside Falmouth, 12 miles away.
