Canadian Milling Practice
CIM Special Volume

CIM Special Volume 49, "Canadian Milling Practice," follows a tradition which was established in 1957 with a volume on "The Milling of Canadian Ores," presented under the auspices of the Sixth Commonwealth Mining and Metallurgical Congress. The CIM special volume on "Milling Practice in Canada" of 1978 followed; it is superceded by the current publication.

The present volume is a collection of articles covering all segments of the mineral processing industry includes contributions from mining operations, consulting engineering firms, vendors, universities, and government agencies contributions.Though a common template was used to prepare the site descriptions, some mineral operations have used slightly different formats. These differences reflect variations in mill design and operation, as well as differences in philosophy and interests of the contributors. The Canadian mining industry has not yet completely converted to metric units and each article uses the units used at the author's operation.
