First Call for Papers and enquiries about Exhibition and Sponsorship opportunities

METPLANT 2008 will continue to develop the themes from previous conferences, including mineral processing, hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy.

In 2008 there will be a focus session on Water and Tailings Management across all these areas.

MetPlant 2008 is for design and maintenance engineers, operations managers, process and plant metallurgists and environmental managers.

Conference Themes:

The 6th MetPlant conference invites papers on advances in processing ores, promoting developments in:

  • plant design, from ore characterization and geometallurgy to testwork, process and equipment selection,
  • financial analysis,
  • design and construction of greenfield and brownfield plants, expansions and retrofits,
  • new technologies for processing, plant control and instrumentation,
  • whole of life operations and maintenance through to closure,
  • environmental management for sustainability, energy efficiencies and rehabilitation,
  • water and tailings management in metallurgical operations.

The conference program covers plant design, engineering and operating strategies for mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, environmental and social responsibilities.
