36th International October Conference on Mining and Metallurgy
Bor, Serbia and Montenegro, 29 September - 2 October, 2004

Annually Technical Faculty Bor-University of Belgrade and Copper Institute Bor, Serbia and Montenegro, organize International October Conference on Mining and Metallurgy as a unique event of such topics on the region and south Europe. This 36th IOC was included participants from all continents except Africa. The participants were come from 22 countries such as: Albania, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and USA. Many of them submitted a paper and some of them were in Scientific Committee and participants with no papers. There were about hundred and fifty participants present at the Conference who came from ten countries. A hundred and twenty eight papers were submitted to the Conference but 113 were included in the Proceedings, 74 domestic and 39 foreigner papers. The Proceedings has 680 + xvi pages with hard cover ISBN 86-80987-27-1, COBISS.SR-ID 116802572 and is available at price Eur 80.

The Round Table on "Mining and Metallurgy Wastes Managements" was very successful with 16 papers. Introductory talk: EU views and action on Mining and Metallurgy Wastes Managements, given by Professor Dr Kostas A. Matis from Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece, was very interesting and informative to all participants.
