:: Gekko Systems Receives AUD$1.2m Order from Celtic Resources

Innovative mineral processing equipment house, Gekko Systems, has received an AUD$1.2m order from UK based Celtic Resources Plc to purchase a Gekko Gravity and Intensive Leach Plant including, the largest model InLine Leach Reactor, two InLine Pressure Jigs and ancillary equipment.

The equipment is destined for the Nezhdaninskoye mining project in eastern Russia. Nezhdaninskoye is Russia's second largest gold mine with Measured, Indicated and Inferred Resources (Western JORC standards) of 13.9 million ounces of gold from only 37 of the 119 ore bodies and 100 million ounces silver (Russian Classified).

We do not believe that it is appropriate anymore for CIP/CIL circuits or whole ore leaching - to be regarded as the standard option for gold plant design. In many circumstances using an alternative of gravity and/or flotation coupled with intensive leach provides the same or higher recovery at significantly lower environmental, capital risk and operating costs. said Gekko Systems, CEO Elizabeth Lewis-Gray. We believe our technology offers the potential for a step change in processing design for the gold industry the Nezhdaninskoye process flow sheet is a perfect example.

Engineering firm Lycopodium has worked with Gekko Systems and Celtic Resources to design a flowsheet that will include gravity concentration and flotation to recover a gold/silver concentrate which will be treated using intensive cyanidation.
