:: Giants Reef Mining Purchases Knelson Concentrator for Chariot Gold Project

Giants Reef Mining has purchased a ConSep manufactured Knelson Concentrator for its Chariot gold project near Tennant Creek in Western Australia.

The sale completes one of ConSep's best years for Knelson Concentrator sales with a total of 20 new machines supplied in the financial year just ended. This includes 12 concentrators for the world's largest gold recovery circuit at PT Freeport in Indonesia.

"Chariot is a high-grade gold deposit, with high levels of gravity recoverable gold in the ore," Giants Reef chief executive Joe Ariti said.

"The gravity circuit alone is expected to recover an average 40% of Chariot's total gold production. As a result, the choice of the right gravity gold recovery device and after sales service is critical to project success."

ConSep managing director Grant Steward said, "The combination of the proven metallurgical and mechanical performance of the Knelson Concentrator, together with local backup from ConSep's very experienced team of gravity concentration specialists, is the major deciding factor for all of our customers, and Giants Reef was no exception."

ConSep said there is now a growing demand for its full rebuild service for older Knelson Concentrators.
