:: Spiral Concentrators Exported To Three Countries  

Three recent export orders received by Multotec Process Equipment has seen locally manufactured spiral concentrators being shipped to the United States, Turkey and India.

Two banks of ten triple start double stage Multotec SX7 coal spirals were ordered for a colliery in the USA. The seven turn coal spiral incorporates a rougher and cleaner stage in one and is based on the auto-reject (SX) coal spiral profile. It provides a highly economical solution not only for new plant developments, but also for plant upgrades or capacity increase programmes.

Two banks of twelve triple start Multotec SC18G spirals, one bank of twelve triple start Multotec SC20HG spirals and one bank of six triple start Multotec SC20HG spirals were ordered for a heavy minerals application in Turkey.

This plant has been operating successfully using Multotec spirals already and it is for that reason that the decision was made to purchase more proven spiral concentrators.

Part of an expansion programme for the existing plant, the minerals spirals will be used to recover gold and rutile. The Multotec SC18G low grade mineral spiral will be used for the rougher duty and the Multotec SC20HG high grade spirals will be used for the cleaner duty. These spirals are scheduled for installation and commissioning in May 2003.

Four banks of six twin start spiral concentrators were delivered and commissioned at heavy minerals process plant in India. These Multotec SC20HG high grade spirals will be used for mineral separation treating zircon.
