:: Circuit Board Recycling - CVD Application

Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), an independent nonprofit research and development organization, has developed an innovative process for recycling printed circuit boards using a Knelson Continuous Variable Discharge (CVD) concentrator. This exciting new application for a Knelson continuous-type concentrator will revolutionize the cost effectiveness in recycling printed circuit boards.

Today's technology for recycling of circuit boards involves shredding the boards and sending the powdered product directly to smelter. The Knelson continuous-type concentrator will be used to reject the lighter non- valuable material and produce a high-grade concentrate that can be sent to smelter for treatment. The CVD is a modified version of the batch-type Knelson Concentrator that is the standard in mining for gravity gold and platinum group metal recovery.
