MEI Online: Gravity Concentration: Latest News: September 17th 2002

:: Worlds Highest Capacity Centrifugal Gravity Concentrator Falcon SB5200 - 392 t/h in a Single Unit!

The trend today in mining and mineral processing plants is toward equipment with ever-larger unit capacities. Grinding mills capable of treating over 2,000 t/h have been operating for a number of years. The rationale behind these developments is cost. It is the same for enhanced gravity concentration equipment. The Falcon SB5200 has been on the drawing board for over three years and finally Falcon is very pleased to announce the launch of the highest capacity centrifugal batch concentrator in the world. Built on the highly successful Falcon Model C4000 continuous concentrator, the SB5200's units utilize the proven C4000's drive system including the electric motor, cartridge bearing and eagle herringbone belt drive.

Automation options for the SB5200 include 'SE' packages that include many control and monitoring features not previously offered. In addition, the ability to communicate with protocols such as Profibus, Modbus and Ethernet has already been engineered into the Falcon system.
