:: Flying High with Falcon's New SE Automation Developing the right strategies and trying to cover as many of the world's automation scenarios is very complicated. Falcon's philosophy has always been to keep things simple, yet ensure that they supply high quality products that are going to slot into metallurgical plants with ease. Falcon will now be offering all models complete with automation options from the most basic of stand-alone right up to the newly-released 'SE' Package that offers many new features as well as unmatched system integration capabilities. The new SE Automation Package allows user-friendly interfacing through Allen Bradley components and the option of linking to many digital control systems (DCS) using protocols like Modbus, Profibus and Ethernet. For the Falcon SB range, the SE Automation Package includes a digitally automated water flow control pipe string allowing access to and logging of data on process water. Parameters such as centrifugal field and amperage draw are also controlled and monitored. Options within the SE Package including choosing between having a local operator interface or complete remote control via the DCS, or a combination of the two where the local control would be a slave to the DCS. SE Automation packages can include multiple machine systems custom designed to perfectly suit the needs of any give application.
