:: Knelson Global Gravity Summit Attracts Big Crowd

"Highly informative, impressive, extremely worthwhile." Those were just a few of the adjectives used by the delegates who were in attendance at Knelson Global Gravity Summit 2006 held at the end of September.

The three day event brought together over 120 industry professionals - plant personnel, corporate managers, researchers and industry professionals all keen to hear about the latest trends in gravity concentration.

The event commenced with a Gravity Seminar hosted by Knelson Gravity Solutions and attended by an enthusiastic crowd of onlookers. Amongst the attendees were delegates from AngloGoldAsahanti, Barrick, BHP-Billiton, CVRD, Freeport, Goldcorp, Kinross Gold, MHC (Peru), Newmont, Northgate, NVI Mining, Pam American Silver, Polyus Gold, TeckCominco, Xstrata Copper, Yamana Gold and others.

Following the Gravity Seminar, delegates were transported to Knelson’s corporate headquarters in Langley where they were given a plant and laboratory tour followed by a reception marking the official launch of the KC-XD40 model, the latest addition Knelson’s line of proprietary gravity concentrators.

From there it was a two-day get-away to Whistler B.C. for a little networking combined with some recreation and relaxation. "We couldn’t have scripted the event any better," stated Doug Corsan; Knelson’s VP of Sales. "We enjoyed fantastic weather, we had great group of people and there was plenty of good interaction both on a technical and social level." Corsan added.
