Bio- & Hydrometallurgy '07

This was the 3rd MEI conference on bio and hydrometallurgy, and the first to be held outside South Africa.

Attended by 52 delegates from a record 24 countries, including 4 delegates from Korea and 3 from Guatemala, this was a truly international gathering of scientists from around the globe.

Forty five papers were presented over the two days, 14 in poster sessions, and 31 in the following technical sessions:

• Bio and Hydrometallurgical Treatment of Ores
• Treatment of ores by Hydrometallurgical Methods
• Bio and Hydrometallurgical Treatment of Wastes
• Treatment of Wastes by Hydrometallurgical Operations

Cornwall is blessed with some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world, and delegates had the opportunity to relax after the first day’s sessions, with a guided 3 mile walk between Falmouth’s major beaches.
