:: Parker Centre III Commences Operations

The third incarnation of the Parker Centre, the Parker CRC for Integrated Hydrometallurgy Solutions came into being on 1 July 2005, after the AJ Parker CRC for Hydrometallurgy officially ceased on 30 June 2005.

The Parker CRC for Integrated Hydrometallurgy Solutions has been funded by the Australian Government's Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Programme to the tune of A$20 million over seven years to continue its predecessors' successful work for the Australian and international minerals industries.

The new Parker Centre is a research company limited by guarantee. The Centre has been registered as Parker Centre Limited, and the company commenced statutory operations on 1 July 2005.

Parker Centre Limited has two of the Centre's core participants (Rio Tinto and AngloGold Ashanti) as foundation industry members.
